Hey Demon Slayer fans, check-out our dessert table featuring our favorite Demon Slayer Corps members, and character-themed desserts. May 10th is Rengoku's birthday, and we thought that we would celebrate it by sharing this dessert table. "Demon Slayer (Kimetsu No Yaiba)" is a popular anime TV series which is set in Japan during the Taisho period (1912-1926) and follows the powerful Demon Slayer Corps as they battle man-eating demons. The movie sequel, "Kimetsu No Yaiba: Mugen Train" or "Demon Slayer: Infinity Train" has grossed over US$474 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film in 2020. It also set multiple box-office records including taking the number one spot at the box office in North America, the highest-grossing film of all time in Japan, and highest-grossing anime film worldwide. Above: Our hero and Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, quickly became a fan-favorite after watching the movie. He takes center stage at the table surrounded by eye-catching flame graphics. Other important elements from the show and the movie are showcased on the table: 1) The main characters: Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke and the desserts and dessert trimmings that represent the characters' haori and Nezuko's kimono. 2) Tanjiro's Hanafuda earrings 3) Urokodaki's mask 4) Nezuko's box 5) Slimed Mugen train, as portrayed in the movie 6) The white Kanji letters positioned at each side of Rengoku. This is printed at the back of each Demon Slayer uniform which reads "Metsu" and means "destroy". 7) Graphic posters featuring the anime series and the movie, "Mugen Train" Rock candy in red and yellow colors flank Rengoku to represent his flame breathing and combat style. Flags on sticks feature our characters' haori & Nezuko's kimono The Mugen or Infinity train, where all the action happened in the movie, was a must appearance on the dessert table; complete with lights and slime. The Demon Slayer main cast: Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke toppers on cupcakes. We also serve up character-themed desserts. Urokodaki's mask and Nezuko's box. Kanji character that is printed at each back of the Demon slayer uniform which reads, "metsu" and means "destroy", and containers bearing the characters' haori and Nezuko's kimono.

When I was planning the aesthetics and decor for this table. I was not looking to include the usual St. Patty's decor (leprechauns, rainbows, etc). Instead, I wanted to focus on elements that I associated with this holiday- green gold, fresh and the coming of Spring.
Table styling highlights: - a row of white tulips in green bottles as table centerpiece -a black and white geometric table runner as a base for the faux boxwood greenery that look like little shamrocks -forest green n apkins on marbled plates -wooden placemats to add texture For the Sweets Bar: -Gold wrappers on cupcakes topped with white and green buttercream frosting -shamrock cupcake toppers -pistachio marshmallow fluff to add another shade of green with gold embellished white dessert spoons -chocolate and vanilla cake balls sprinkled with green jimmies -chocolate mint disks -gold coins Happy St. Patrick's day! The ghost-centerpiece revolved, and the animated jack-o-lantern's eyes lit up and moved around Happy Halloween!
We put together a Halloween treat table for Healthy Spot in celebration of their store opening in College Avenue, Berkeley last Oct. 17th. Healthy Spot is a one-stop shop for pet parents to find healthy and nutritious dog and cat food, eco-friendly pet supplies, quality dog-grooming as well as pet-friendly events. There were a few things that the company requested: 1) The Halloween table was to be fun but spooky (as opposed to gory and grim). 2) All treats were to be individually-wrapped 3) Safe for the pets that visit the store- no chocolates and no skeleton bones for decoration 4) The shelving behind the treat bar needed to be accessible, so no backdrop Also, in keeping with the brand's commitment to healthy ingredients, the treats at the bar were all-organic, without preservatives, no artificial flavors, no trans fat, and GMO free. The menu included nuts, fruit crisps and vegetable chips, bars and mini muffins; and some green and white candy to highlight the company colors. For decoration, it was filled with ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, spiders and bats. Have fun, stay safe and have a fun Halloween! Last Saturday, we set up a Purple and Burgundy Dessert Bar in Oakland for the Bridal Shower of Nadia. It was her sister, Jamila, who contacted us and who hosted the party.
The Dessert Bar offered wonderful treats: 1) An Ombre-style Buttercream Vanilla Cake with Cookies & Cream Filling 2) French Macaron in 3 flavors 3) Fresh Fruit Tarts 4) Lemon and Chocolate Cake Bites 5) Vanilla and Chocolate Cupcakes 6) Chocolate-dipped Fresh Strawberries 7) Powdered Doughnuts After the party, we received a text message from Jamila. Here's what she said, "Hi Angel, just wanted to say thank you so much for making our day extra special the desserts were also very good ( smiley emoji)." We say, it is always our pleasure to make every event a memorable one. Enjoy the photos, and Stay safe! RECIPE NOTES: Storage: The cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. 2) To make the heart-shaped cupcakes, use this trick below as instructed by Kelli Foster of the Kitchn.com Foil Is the Secret to Making Heart-Shaped Cupcakes To make heart-shaped cupcakes, you just need to create a little indentation in the cupcake’s shape. The baker I learned this from recommended using a marble or a ceramic pie weight, but I didn’t have either of those things on hand. So, instead of buying yet another thing, I decided to experiment, and found what was (possibly) an even better solution: aluminum foil, which rolls easily into a ball that is exactly the size you need it to be. Here’s How to Make Heart-Shaped Cupcakes Using Foil Balls You’ll start by tightly crumpling small pieces of foil, one for each cupcake, so they’ll give your cupcake a good indentation. The balls should be about the size of a marble and tightly packed so they don’t rise up towards the top of the muffin well. Place the cupcake liners in each well of the muffin tin. Then place one foil ball at the top of each well between the liner and the pan. This will make an indent in the top of the cupcake that resembles a heart. Spoon the batter into each liner, filling it no more than halfway. and bake the cupcakes according to the recipe instructions. Sweet Events Bay Area at Dreamforce 2019 with Congo at Thirsty Bear Brewery, San Francisco12/10/2019 We would like to tell you more about our Dreamforce 2019 experience. Let me just say that it was an exciting time for us since this was our first time to participate as service providers. We previously posted a few photos while we were at the event but they didn't come with much content. What is Dreamforce? It is an annual 4-day event that brings together the entire Salesforce community. It is held at multiple venues in San Francisco, and attended by LOTS of people. In 2018, that meant 170,000 registered attendees, so it is huge! There is never a dull moment in those 4 days. Attendees can discover new products, get hands-on with new technology, attend session workshops and hear the experts talk. Plus, lots of parties, food and drinks to go around! For our part, we provided the Cupcake and Toppings bar, and made-to-order hot drinks at the Espresso bar for Congo, a company that provides digital document transformation solutions. Attendees were able to choose their cupcake flavor, and decorate them with their favorite toppings (ten to choose from!). The cupcakes also came with "Congo" branded edible wafer toppers. Then, after decorating the cupcakes, attendees headed to the Espresso bar where they could order a hot drink from the menu. Have a corporate event coming up? This is a story about a little girl named Tessa who turned 6 years old this May, and wished for a Unicorn-themed birthday.
Upon hearing of Tessa's wish, her mother sought the help of Aunt Angel who knew about magical Unicorns living in some enchanted woods that wasn't anywhere, just a place one could dream of. And that's where Tessa and her friends went to celebrate. That special place was guarded by two immaculately-groomed gold horses who stood watch over the sparkly-colored unicorns who lived there. It was a place where rainbow-colored clouds could be stored in jars, and white clouds were used as pillows for the Unicorns to sleep on. One of the adventures the Unicorns loved to do was to venture into the enchanted woods to collect magical wands made of pretzels! Tessa and her friends ate what the Unicorns loved to eat- Unicorn Toast made of Rice Krispies, Vanilla Cupcakes, Magical Sugar Cookies, Moon Kisses made of Vanilla meringue cookies, and Rainbow Candy Necklaces! But alas, it was time to go. Tessa and her friends said goodbye to their Unicorn friends, and they were all deeply filled with joy! |
