Below, the Thank you letter we received from Google after the event: It was so much fun working with the Google team for their "Google Land" 2017 Holiday Party held last December at 1015 Folsom Club. The theme was inspired by the all-time favorite, "Candy Land" game, a rainbow-colored candy world. Just the perfect setting for a candy bar! Google wanted the candy bar to be bright, loaded with candy, and spectacular. And, the candy bar was to be the first thing that guests would see when they first entered the venue. In short, we had to wow them! With a final guest count of nine hundred fifteen (915), we made sure that the candy were in full supply, and that the 16 foot-table was covered with tempting confections. There was something for everyone. From classic favorites like Hershey's Milk Chocolate & Almond Kisses, M&Ms, Kit Kat, Reese's Peanut Butter, a variety of gummies-gummy bears sour belts, gummy peaches; Holiday sweets like peppermint bark chocolate, and peppermint sticks; and specialty treats like jumbo candy buttons, candy necklaces, cupcake lollipops, and rock candy, to name some. The three-level 1015 Folsom club was decorated with pre-picked "Candy Land" locations from the board game- The Gingerbread Room (where the candy bar was set-up), Lollipop Woods, King Kandy Lair, Queen Frostine Room, and the Gum Drop Mountains. With the gum trees on each side of the table, the ice cream cone and ginger bread props on the wall (all created by props2c.com), the candy table was a hit! Isn't this a cute theme for a baby shower? This dessert table was created for first-time parent, Rajvi and Ama; hosted by Rajvi's best friend, Jennifer. It was Jennifer who called us, we had worked with her the previous year for the celebration of her mom's 66th birthday. Jennifer shared the details of the baby shower, the invitations were colored gold, gift boxes were aqua blue, table center pieces were red flowers, multi-colored umbrellas were to be hung from the ceiling, and pink umbrellas were ordered as treat boxes. "How can we put all these together?", she asked. We considered everything Jennifer told us and the theme, "Showered With Love" came about. How? To put it simply, umbrellas=shower + red flowers=love. Colors would be red, gold, aqua blue, and pink. They loved it! See how the table came together! A special client of ours, Norma, celebrated her 50th birthday at the Crowne Plaza with her family and close friends. We dare say that she looked like a princess turning 18, rather than 50.
Through the years, Sweet Events Bay Area has been present at special moments in Norma's life- at her husband's 50th birthday a few years ago, and at her son's graduation party last year. It was now Norma's turn to be celebrated. We truly are grateful to Norma and her family for allowing us to be a part of their family's milestone events. Hello Everyone, Happy New Year! It's great to be back. We took a short break after a busy November and December.
2017 was another great year for us at Sweet events Bay Area, and we were happy to end the year on a high note after Google asked us to create a candy table for their Holiday party in San Francisco! We have some catching up to do on our blogs. We will begin posting some of our events in the next days so stay tuned! Family and friends came together at the Bayview Dining Room at the College of San Mateo to celebrate and give thanks for Cassidy's Quinceañera, one of the most important celebrations in the Mexican culture marking the passage to womanhood on her fifteenth birthday. Weeks before, her parents Maria and Andy, got in touch with us to provide the photo booth service for their daughter's special ceremony. Her colors were lavender, silver and white. And, they requested to include a bible passage special to their family on her photo prints (See the photo above). On the day of the Quince, the photo booth teemed with guests, and the energy was high. The guest line did not let up from the time we began until the end of the service. So much fun! Check out the photos. Below, the awesome view from the Bayview Dining Room at the College of San Mateo. (Photo Credit: College of San Mateo)
