It was a wonderful afternoon last Saturday at the Gibson House Museum in Woodland, Ca where we styled a dessert bar for Maria and Greg's wedding. The Gibson House which sits on two-and-a-half landscaped acres was closed for this private event. There were lots of activities available to keep the guests busy- pose for photos taken at the photo booth, have a portrait sketched by an artist, join a game of giant Jenga, or enjoy a quiet walk around the grounds. For food and drinks, there were plenty to go around. Besides the 12-foot long dessert bar, there were the appetizers bar, and the wet bar.
The Gibson house museum represents a typical rural ranch-home during the mid-19th to the early 20th centuries. The "Chic Vintage"-themed dessert bar which we decorated with elements such as vintage frames, rustic metals, candelabras, candles, and lace fabric was a fitting tribute to this era. The pastel colors coupled with highlights of lilac were just a great palette for this spring wedding. See the photos!

"Super Heroes", this was the wedding theme for our last weekend's event in San Jose. By the sound of this theme, it just promised an event with tons of fun. And fun it was! The groom's mother contacted us as far back as August last year to make sure that she had us reserved for this special day. The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the backyard of the family home. The photo booth was definitely bustling with guest activity- friends, families, couples and kids. We made sure to bring super hero masks to tie up with the wedding theme, in addition to the other props we have available for the guests. Check out the photos for a glimpse of the event. Here are some behind-the-scene photos as we prepare for the booth sessions:
We just finished our photo booth event for a high school Spring dance held at William E. Walker Recreation Center in Foster City this past weekend.
When we arrived to set-up the photo booth at the event location, the students were abuzz with excitement as they prepared for their Spring dance. This dance, afterall, was the first ever for their school since its opening. It was refreshing to see young ladies, and gentlemen decked out in stylish dresses and formal suits away from the strict routine of school, gathered in a social event where they get to have fun, and get to know more about one another. We were first contacted by a school representative in October 2014 for our photo booth service for this event. It is an honor for us at Sweet Events Bay Area to be a partner in making this dance a memorable part of their students' high school experience, and capturing the moments that they will remember throughout their lifetime. |
