We created an airplane-themed candy bar for one year old, Lucas at Kome Buffet in Daly City last weekend. To set the scene, we determined that we would create must-have elements like a control tower, an airport runway, buildings, clouds, and windsocks for the table. We placed airplanes in spots, some of them positioned like they were flying. For the desserts, we had fun with the labels which included Airplane Gummies, Cotton Candy Clouds, Passenger Bear Gummies, Propeller Pops, Wafer Trolleys, Pretzel Life Savers, Runway Strawberry Belts, Airplane Doughnut Wheels as examples. We also incorporated Lucas' name in the signage like "Lucas International Airport", and Lucas Airlines in the "Now Boarding" and "Baggage Claim" areas. We were delighted to hear from Lucas' mom, Lily, that her guests loved it! Just view the photos below and see the guests in line as they wait for their turn at the buffet table. A dessert or candy bar is a great way to personalize your celebration, it is an interactive experience for your guests where they get to pick their favorite treats, and take these home as their party souvenirs. Most importantly, the dessert buffet table generates so much excitement that it provides great memories that guests keep talking about even long after the party is over. See the highlights below: Cotton Candy Clouds on bowls with personalized round party labels on sticks. See the "Now Boarding", and "Departures" Board Signage under the red airplane. Control tower, clouds, windsocks, and planes. Cake set on the airport runway with markings based on actual ones. Propeller Pops Peanuts and Pretzels packaged as those served in the planes. Hershey Bars with personalized wrappers which Lucas' mom provided Soaring airplanes all through the table like those shown below: "Baggage Claim" and Treat bags

Photo Credit: Californiahomedesign.com We were at Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern in downtown San Francisco last month to celebrate a Christmas Birthday bash. The Bartlett private room in the third floor, designed with classic fixtures, old photos, and a vintage wine-encased display, served as a great setting for the Plaid/Tartan-themed event.
The ladies looked great in their kilted skirts, tartan sashes or shawls. While the gentle men were impressive in full formal kilt attires each accessorized with the kilt belt and buckle, the fancy sporran (pouch), kilt hose (knee-high stockings) and garter flashes (elasticated straps worn inside the cuff of the hose to hold them in place). It was our pleasure to be part of this unique celebration, and one that we will always remember. |
