We love this Baby & Co. dessert table that we created for Rebecca's baby shower at the Mexican restaurant in Sacramento. The interplay of colors (tiffany blue, silver, and white) is refreshing and eye-catching; while the clean lines, silver finish and rhinestone details exude fine elegance. Of course, the theme will not be complete without its iconic white bow which we integrated throughout the table. To set the theme, we hung a backdrop with "Baby & Co." and the white bow printed. As for the dessert treats, we mixed up the Tiffany theme with baby items. For the cookies we had custom-made baby onesies, carriages, rattles with the addition of the tiffany blue box. We also had white bows on cake pops, on oreo-covered chocolate, and on the custom-made chocolate bar wrappers. Since the Tiffany store is identified with sellers of the finest jewelry, we thought it would be fun to have some gum ball necklaces as part of the menu. American global aerospace and defense technology company, Northrop Grumman, asked us to create a candy station as part of their "Welcome Back Event" for the engineering students at the Bechtel Patio of UC Berkeley.
We are happy to report that the event was a success! Students and the representatives from the company were able to engage in great conversation, the students received company-sponsored give away items, and walked away with bags of candy filled with their favorite treats! The candy station was a great attraction. It generated lots of praises from the students on how "awesome" and "cool" the idea of a candy station in the campus was, and were thrilled that they could fill their bags with their favorite treats... definitely tons of unabashed smiles and "thank you(s)". We have another event scheduled with Northrop Grumman on Sept. 30th at Stanford University in Palo Alto. Check back here at our website in the next weeks for our post on that. Below is the invitation as printed at the UC Berkeley Engineering Student Services Newsletter: Hello Everyone!
We have been busy here at Sweet Events Bay Area, and it's been really difficult to keep up with our posts. But, we're not complaining. We are in fact thankful, excited, and encouraged by the response from our clients. We have been seeing an increased number of repeat business and new client connections from recommendations made by those we have served. So, thank you so much to everyone for your wonderful support! We at Sweet Events Bay Area continue to stay committed to providing quality, one-on-one service for our customers. We have so much events to share with you! Be sure to check back over the next several weeks to find out about our fun events. Some of things we will share with you will be our candy bar with Northrop Grumann, a wonderful Indian wedding, A Tiffany inspired baby shower, an outdoor wedding, and more! Yes, it's a Lego Star Wars Dessert Bar! We created this for our client's son who celebrated his 8th birthday and his baptism. Mele, our client for a number of years now (We worked on her son's 1st birthday "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" and her niece's "Frozen" dessert tables) had a wonderful idea of incorporating the words, "Choose The Right" to the Star Wars movie's quote, "May the Force Be With You". We can all agree that this is great advise for any age! To frame the table we set up a space backdrop, added the Death Star and classic Star Wars Ship decals. We also propped up a Tie Fighter 3D Paper Model, giant Lego blocks made of cardboard and paper, and Lego Star Wars paper figurines. In addition, fun plastic models of Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, BB-8, a Stormtrooper, and a Star Wars ship were set atop three cakes provided by Mele. As for the menu, we had an assortment of fun treats: Storm Troopers cookies Darth Vader Cookies "CTR" cookies Yoda Cake pops-Vanilla flavor Darth Vader Cake pops- Red Velvet flavor Fruit Roll Up Light sabers C3PO-reo Pops Galaxy Bites Death star Doughnuts Battle Droid balls Hans Rolos Padawan Popcorn Princess Leah buns 3-Layer Cake- (each layer was a different flavor)-Tropical, Smores, and Tiramisu 3 cakes with model figures Scroll down to see the photos: 3-layer cake we designed with the "Choose The Right" emblem front and center decked by Star War character cut-outs, lightsaber, and stars. The flavors were divine! |
