This is a story about a little girl named Tessa who turned 6 years old this May, and wished for a Unicorn-themed birthday.
Upon hearing of Tessa's wish, her mother sought the help of Aunt Angel who knew about magical Unicorns living in some enchanted woods that wasn't anywhere, just a place one could dream of. And that's where Tessa and her friends went to celebrate. That special place was guarded by two immaculately-groomed gold horses who stood watch over the sparkly-colored unicorns who lived there. It was a place where rainbow-colored clouds could be stored in jars, and white clouds were used as pillows for the Unicorns to sleep on. One of the adventures the Unicorns loved to do was to venture into the enchanted woods to collect magical wands made of pretzels! Tessa and her friends ate what the Unicorns loved to eat- Unicorn Toast made of Rice Krispies, Vanilla Cupcakes, Magical Sugar Cookies, Moon Kisses made of Vanilla meringue cookies, and Rainbow Candy Necklaces! But alas, it was time to go. Tessa and her friends said goodbye to their Unicorn friends, and they were all deeply filled with joy! We are so excited to share with you our Versailles-themed Dessert Table which we styled for a baby shower. We found creative inspiration from the Palace of Versailles in France- the epitome of opulence, lavishness and architectural grandeur. The table was decorated with ornate tapestry, gilded medallions, masks and feathers which are reminiscent of the Masquerade Balls of Versailles.
The guests enjoyed Cream puffs and Chocolate Eclairs, Sugar cookies shaped in baby items, Chocolate-dipped Strawberries, Chocolate-covered Oreos both with gold crown toppers, French Macarons, and Tiramisu shots. Isn't this such a grand dessert table? May your day be special! "That your day, in other words, leaves you feeling like you’re known. And appreciated. And liked. And loved, for the person you are and the person you’ve been and the person you’re becoming — none of whom is perfect, none of whom pretends to be, none of whom would really want to be perfect or even hang out with someone perfect because perfect chokes all the laughing and the falling and the exploring and the growing out of life." - Hedi Stevens, "Balancing Act " Column Writer, Chicago Tribune |
